Information: There are 2 versions of the Welsh Corgi : Pembroke and Cardigan. Up until 1934 these two were registered as 1 breed in the UK, both of them are identical mentaly but not quite physicaly because the Cardigan is slightly larger and "heavier boned" than the Pembroke... ![]() ![]() For most people, the easiest way to recognise the difference between Pembroke and Cardigan is to look at the tails. Pembroke's are docked and Cardigan's are long... Here's a way to remeber : "The Pembroke has a "broke" tail ; the Cardigan has a long tail like the sleeves of a cardigan sweater" And the picture above is clearly a Thorgi! |
Tips & Tricks: The following tips & tricks can also be used on other breeds of dog! During winter, either get some booties for your dog, of put a dollop of patroleum jelly at the bottom of their paws : this keeps them hydrated and avoids cracking... Always (during winter) put a little coat or vest on you furry friend unless they have long fur.
